Monday Musings: Just A Few...
It's summer vacation this week for me! This is my first real-deal vacation in FOREVER. Our agenda is packed with nothing but time together, some hiking, eclipse viewing, and seeing my mommy! ? This week as I'm daydreaming under the stars in our ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ yurt, I thought I'd share with you a few of my [current] favorite things.
Monday Musings
1. I Got It From My Momma
If you follow me on instagram, you already know this trick, but it's seriously one of the best tips & tricks I have for making life in your kitchen easier. When I first moved into my apartment in college, my mom gifted me a utensil holder. It sat on top of the counter and had a place for knives, forks, and spoons. What!? Utensils not in a drawer!? I know. It seems crazy, but try it! I swear it'll change your life. Okay...maybe not your life, but you get it.
I just use jars ☝? to house my forks, knives, and spoons. I have jars of various sizes, and the jam jar is from my first trip with Tyler. It was literally the most expensive jam I've ever had, but it was also one of the best!
If you're looking for something a little more sophisticated, check out the caddy ideas below??!

2. And The Beat Goes On...
I've had this playlist on repeat lately.
3. Mary Berry + Paul Hollywood = The Best Co-Workers Ever.
I have a healthy obsession with The Great British Baking Show. If you're not watching it, you're missing out. It's my go-to, gotta have something on, but not always paying attention show. Anyone else obsessed?
4. Oldie but a Goodie
One of the first meals I challenged myself with was, of course, a Barefoot Contessa classic, Forty Clove Garlic Chicken. I just knew that if I could make something Ina made, I could take on the world. Ina and Jeffery are two of my favorite people, and I really do believe that if you can cook one of her dishes, you can and will take on the world. Forty Clove Garlic Chicken is one of my favorites, and with Trader Joe's pre peeled garlic, you can make it in a pinch!
5. Like, Scroll, Like, Scroll, Like, Comment, Repeat.
What did we do before instagram? I love following all kinds of people, meme accounts, foodie bloggers, fashion bloggers, and of course friends and family. I'm an insta-story addict, I have to admit. I love myself a good insta-story. There's kind of an art to the insta-story. If only I could be a good insta-story-er. #goals I have a feeling I'll be rocking the insta story this week on vacation, so stay tuned! ?? follow me!
As a designer, blogger, and "creative entrepreneur", I'm always looking for inspiration. There are 3 places I go to in order to find inspiration. The first is pinterest – duh. The second is magazines/books, and the third is of course instagram.
Here are 3 instagrammers that have been inspiring me lately! I love finding new accounts to follow. Who are some of your favorites? Share your choice instagrammers in the comments below??!
