Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, I flew the coop for some time and finally landed back in my hometown. Spending time in places like Waco, Houston, and Virginia have shaped the person I am today, and I can’t imagine where I’d be without those years away from “home”.

I try to take each day as it comes with a steady head and a heart seeking adventure. I hope to bring joy to friends and strangers by being who I am despite circumstances. I love seeing others happy, fulfilled, and satisfied, and I hope my words and work demonstrate that desire. I love all things food and food related, I appreciate all forms of art, I live to capture any and all moments, getting my hands dirty is a regular activity, and I yearn to learn something new on a daily basis.

It's hard to really pin point the "why" and "how" Capital Confessions this blog and space came about, but I guess if I had to, it's always been a dream of mine to write a cook book for inexperienced cooks and I knew I had to start somewhere. I am of the mentality that anyone and everyone can cook a beautiful and delicious meal, all you need is the "courage of your convictions." The recipes you find here are all inspired by dishes I eat, people I meet, and experiences I have each and every day.

I don't want to make it sound like the only thing you'll find here is recipe after recipe, although some months it does feel that way... but, every once in a while you'll find some fun crafts and projects to try, restaurants to take note of when you're on your next vacation, and stories and sentiments from myself and others.

Recently, I’ve been using this space for more. I want this to become my love letter/journal. A place for conversation and growth for anyone who joins in on the repartee. If you have something you want to discuss or share, I’m always here to listen.

This truly is a life style blog I guess... it's my life and my style that I've decided to share with you, and like life, this space will evolve and change just like me.

Thanks for reading, Molly
