Happy February y'all! I'm a Valentine's-Day-fan. It's not because I love expensive prix fixe dinners and red roses – I'm actually NOT a fan of either of those, but because I love any excuse for themed decor, crafts, and chocolate. We all know this... it's not the first time I've shared an ode to Valentine's day. This Monday (by Monday I mean Thursday), I thought I'd share an update on my favorite Valentine's Day inspiration for 2018. This week I'm featuring a recipe or two I'd like to try, a craft I've got my eye on, and of course a new batch of love songs on my Monday Musings playlist.

I'm obsessed with cards. It's true... I've kept any and every card since I graduated from high school. Hoard much? There's just something special about the written word – bonus if it's written on a super cute card/postcard. I've been looking high and low for a cute card for my sweet valentine and I came across these super cute cards and adorable DIYs!
How cute are these DIY's?! Any of these would be precious for your one true love or your best friend, and most of them can be made with stuff you have around the house in a junk drawer. I think the "We Just Fit" has to be my favorite. Which one are you loving?
Not up to Do-It-Yourself? Here are some of my favorites to buy. I'm thinking the "Dem Buns Dough" is prefect for my cinnamon roll obsessed boo.

3. Let's get Chocolate-Wasted!
It's Valentine's Day... need I say more? Here are a couple of recipes I've got bookmarked for "the BIG day". First up is this perfect brownie for two recipe from Desserts For Two. Can I just say I'm obsessed with everything Christina does? Follow her on insta – she's too cute! Next, the most perfect ombre heart sugar cookies from Alice and Lois. I'm a huge cheesecake fan. I'll be the first to admit – they can be intimidating. I came across Always So Hungry's perfect Valentine Cheesecake recently, and I thought "okay, that's worth the effort!" Pistachio, Pomegranates, and Clementines? Oh my! Finally, Tyler's favorite thing in the world is an Oreo cake. I've dug through recipe after recipe, and this one from Life, Love, and Sugar seems very promising.
4. Deck the Halls with X's and O's...
I love decorating for any and all holidays. Second only to Christmas is Valentine's Day. Most years I take down Christmas and put up Valentine's Day all in one fell swoop. Remember that year I made a ton of DIY garlands to celebrate? Let's take a look at this year's Valentine's inspiration, why don't we?
